About Me

Hey there! I’m Eriane (aka Eri), an upcoming Spring 2024 graduate from UT Austin with a BSA in Neuroscience, BS in Arts & Entertainment Technologies, and an Evidence & Inquiry Certificate in Digital Globalization and Intersectionality. As part of the Polymathic Scholars Honors Program, I developed my own interdisciplinary field “Digital Globalization and Intersectionality” and undergraduate thesis titled “Filipina Digital Entrepreneurs as Players in the Global Economy: An Intersectional Feminist Analysis.” This thesis was inspired by my experiences as a Filipina American and my grandmother's experiences as a Filipina businesswoman.

My interests lie at the intersection of neuroscience, art, and creative technologies. I aim for an intersectional, contextual, and interdisciplinary approach to designing for how people experience and interact in physical and digital spaces.

The breadth and depth of my experiences working with interdisciplinary teams in game development, 2D art and design, research, and operations roles has helped me grow into a versatile and understanding team member. I thrive being around others with different backgrounds and skillsets, and I seek to understand different perspectives and approaches to improve my work, workflow, and myself as a person. In every role I've had, advocating and providing for people is what is most important to me. Quenching my curiosity through brainstorming, testing, and iterating alongside my team is what I find the most fun.

Detective-meets-Designer-meets-Technologist summarizes who I am! I’m incredibly thankful for my family, friends, peers, and mentors who have helped me discover and pursue my interests and have shaped me into the person I am today.

Outside of school and work, I enjoy digging through digital archives of many kinds, exercising (catch me bouldering, powerlifting, and running!), going on silly adventures with friends, and hanging out with my cat, Jelly!

My Work Ethic

PEOPLE-Centered

I position people at the center of how I create for and work with others by leading with empathy. I strive to instill feelings of confidence and capability in my work’s users and in my team members.

Curiosity-Led

Curiosity is what brought me home to this intersection of neuroscience, art, and creative technologies. Curiosity is what prompts me to be an active investigator inside and outside of work.

Process-Oriented

I care about the journey and iterative processes in every aspect of my life. A cohesive, enjoyable journey together makes for memorable experiences and works.
